In this class, we identify 6 key genetic differences where African Americans are at risk for chronic disease conditions and nutritional strategies to overcome the risks. This is a nutrition and cooking class where we explore the gut-brain connection and how food affects brain fog, memory, and focus. We will discuss how certain food choices can impair our brain from working to its full potential. A certified Food Saved Me Instructor will share evidence-based information, easy delicious recipes, and support you on your journey with a beautiful nutrition booklet and food samples.
Get Focused for Kids
This nutrition and cooking class covers the gut-brain connection and how food choices can greatly affect children’s brain function, focus, and mental clarity. We know that nutrition and environmental exposures are so important during adolescence. Foods can impair focus and hinder learning success. A Food Saved Me Certified Instructor will deliver cooking demonstrations, recipes, and food samples and send you home with a beautiful booklet for reference.
Nutrition to Prevent and Survive Ovarian Cancer
Ovarian cancer causes more deaths than any other type of female reproductive cancer. Luckily, there is a tremendous amount of recent research showing how a woman can dramatically lower her risk of getting ovarian cancer with certain dietary habits.
